Dr. Brady graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in May 1987. He has practiced at Broomall Animal Hospital since graduation and became the owner in 1994. Dr. Brady is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Delaware Valley Academy of Veterinary Medicine. An avid ice hockey fan, he enjoys bicycling and reading Revolutionary War history in his spare time. He enjoys spending time with his two English Stafford Terrier mixes.

Dr. Nelson is a 2023 graduate of the University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine. She earned her B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences from the University of Delaware in 2019. A Philadelphia native, she has a long-standing connection with Broomall Animal Hospital, having worked with Dr. Brady as far back as 2014 and completing a hospital externship in 2021. She’s proud to return to her hometown to care for the pets of the community she grew up in.

Christine has been with Broomall Animal Hospital since 1988. A lifelong resident of Marple Township, she started in the kennel and now handles front desk operations, lab testing, and supports appointments, radiographs, and surgeries. Her knowledge of the community makes her an invaluable part of our team.

Karen earned her Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Johnson Technical Institute in 1999. Since joining the hospital in 2003, she has provided care across reception, lab work, appointments, and surgeries. A former teacher, she brings her love of education into every client interaction. Karen has four cats, Orrin, Clara the cross-eyed kitty, Esmerelda, and Nora.

Christopher started with us in September 2022 after working in customer service within human healthcare and at a previous veterinary hospital. His attention to both two-legged and four-legged clients is unmatched, and his positive energy is a daily highlight. He enjoys time with his dog, Maggie.

Elaine retired from her full-time job in March of 2018 and started part-time at the Broomall Animal Hospital in March of 2019. She loves working with such caring doctors and staff.

In her spare time, she enjoys thrifting and gardening. Her favorite are her roses!

Casey started at Broomall Animal Hospital in the fall of 2022. She graduated from Marple Newtown High School in 2023 and is currently a student at Harcum College, where she is studying veterinary nursing.

She is always looking to gain experience and to foster positive relationships with clients and patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, and paddleboarding.

Summer is a student at Delaware Valley University, where she studies Wildlife Conservation and Management. After graduating, she hopes to work for the Philadelphia Zoo, where she interned a few years ago. Summer would like to join the zoo’s conservation program and help raise kingfishers for release, which will help grow the wild population.

Summer has three pets: a Stratford pit bull named Sheba, a tuxedo cat named Bebe, and a Chihuahua-Yorkie mix named Princess. In her free time, she loves to go kayaking and horseback riding.

Amy has been the Practice Manager at the Broomall Animal Hospital for the past 28 years. Before coming to the animal hospital, she taught first grade in the West Chester Area School District.

Amy has 2 dogs, both rescues, Fig and Bismarck. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside to walk or garden. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and watching the Eagles and Flyers with her family.
